Qiao Qiao received her Ph.D. in Physics from University of Illinois at Chicago in 2013. She then worked as a postdoctoral research scholar in Oak Ridge National Laboratory. She joined Brookhaven National Laboratory in March 2015 working with Dr. Yimei Zhu.

Research Interests

  • Study on the atomic structures of functional materials using aberration corrected scanning transmission electron microscopy

  • Study on the electronic structures using atomic resolution electron energy-loss spectroscopy

  • First Principles density functional theory calculations to study structure-property relationships
