Matthew was an undergraduate in the Physics Department, currently working with the Borguet group. His current research focuses on frequency comb generation at terahertz frequencies by coherent phonon excitation in various thin films using ultrafast lasers and nonlinear optical techniques.
Research Interests
I am interested in investigating the properties and interactions of layered and two-dimensional materials. These materials have novel physical and chemical properties which can be utilized in many different fields of study and have multiple applications to industry.
