Dan Trainer received his bachelors in physics from Saint Joseph’s University in the spring of 2012.  He has been attending Temple University since the fall of 2012, receiving his Masters in physics in the fall of 2014.  He has been working with Drs. Xi and Iavarone on the fabrication of two dimensional transition metal dichalcogenide films and their characterization using, among other techniques, low temperature ultra high vacuum scanning tunneling microscopy. 

Research Interests
Scanning tunneling microscopy and the fabrication of thin films.
