Chandra completed his B.Sc. (2005) and M.Sc. (2007) in Physics from Tribhuvan University, Nepal.  He joined the Department of Physics, Temple University in the Fall of 2013.  He is currently working with Prof. John P. Perdew. 

Research Interests

• Pressure induced phase transition of crystals using newly developed meta-GGA, SCAN
• Testing SCAN for differnet interesting properties of two-dimensional materials
• Development of theoretical framework for other semi-local ab initio calculations
